How I work
A short user manual
Start with the question
I sketch the problem in words before the screen. If the brief can't fit on a napkin, the design won't fit either.
Ship small, often
Tiny, ugly versions in front of real users beat polished ones in front of a stakeholder. I keep the loop short.
Beautiful means inevitable
Craft is the work of removing the parts that don't belong, until the remaining shape feels obvious.
